The Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, hired freelance photographers to take pictures of subjects relating to environmental problems, EPA activities, and everyday life in America in the 1970s. It was called the Documerica Project. I found the incredible photos through Free People's blog. The photographs are fascinating to juxtaposition the world we live in today & the environmental issues we face compared to those decades ago. I love this project: art can truly reach across humanitarian fronts.
